JOB SUMMARY: Rome, NY facility is developing a process that requires lab tests at multiple points in a complex process flow, and successive measurements at the same point of the process but at different flow states. Our current lab test procedure creates individual records of these measurements, but these need to be connected and organized further to create meaningful analysis and reports. For this we require a new database to be designed. The internship will, under the guidance of the product manager and the data analytics manager, create the architecture for this database and make results accessible via PowerBI.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):

  • Design and build a database that uses data relationships with data from analytical measurements from a complex process flow
  • Explore ways how to safely and securely hosting the dataset on a cloud server
  • Understand process flow through interviewing process engineers
  • Understand requirements for creating charts, reports, dashboards
  • Interact with data analytics team and process engineering team

REQUIREMENTS:

  • All interns must be active college students who have completed their freshman year and are enrolled in courses for the Fall semester of 2026
  • Pursuing degree in computer science, data science or data analytics
  • Interest in chemical engineering is a plus, but not required
  • High interest in visual display of quantitative information
  • Needs to be a self-starter and have excellent communications skills
  • Proficiency in SQL and PowerBI

SHIFT/SITE:

Duration: June 1, 2026 – August 7, 2026

Shift: M-F, 8:00am – 5:00pm

Location: New Hartford, NY

WAGE DISCLOSURE:

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.

The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, retirement plan, volunteer opportunities, paid holidays, overtime opportunities, and many more.

$17.00 per hour – $23.00 per hour
